Mod. 4

    • Questions you have with which your colleagues may be able to provide help and support

I am comfortable using a PowerPoint presentation but am not sure if that is the most dynamic way of presenting my information to the group.  Does anyone have any other suggestions or should I go with what’s most comfortable for me?

About how long do you think a presentation should be?

    • Resources and information you are seeking

I think I have a lot of good resources and information and feel confident about the direction that I am taking.

    • Resources and/or information you have found helpful and insightful

The site that I have found to be most helpful is The Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning

  1. I am also thinking about doing a Powerpoint presentation. I think that you should do what makes you feel comfortable in doing. This is way way to make sure the presentation is effective. Just be sure that you arrive or prepare in plenty of time before presenting. This will give you time in case there are technical difficulties you may need to fix before the presentation.
As I read your post you seem very confident in your abilities to do a Powerpoint and your resources. You are well on your way to a great presentation. Good Luck.

  2. The Vanderbilt website you shared, is one of my favoirte websites to use. I used that website to help with my presentation about challenging behaviors!

  3. The CSEFEL website is great, but you can also create your own social stories. I think a power point is a good tool, but if you could have some hands on aspect to your presentation, the information may stick with parents more.
